Commoner's Salad Bowls
designed in Chiba, Japan
Instead of being thrown on a potter's wheel, each Commoner's Bowl is hand built and molded, giving it its distinct, rough structure. The base of each bowl is left untreated for a more Neolithic feel, while the rest of the bowl is treated with a light glaze that highlights the uneven texture of the sides. These bowls are perfect for salads, soups, and snacks.
Note: Items in this collection are one-of-a kind. Each is handcrafted and finished in a glaze that reacts differently during the firing process, creating slight variations in the shape and color of each product.
